Waiting Kids

Tanya - age 11 This young lady wants someone to hang out with one-on-one.  She loves horses and loves to just sit and chat with a friend.  She has a lot of shoes!  She would love to just be outside with a friend or do crafts and paint or even just bake sweets!

Paul – Paul is 11 years old and lives in Deer River.  He loves animals, going camping, fishing, and bike riding.  He’d love to visit a zoo someday.  He’d also like to go in an airplane!  His dad isn’t involved in his life.  Paul applied for a mentor in July and is hoping there’s a man out there who will decide to be his mentor friend.

Andy - age 10 Here is a young man you would rather play outside than play playstation! He is looking for a buddy to go fishing with and go to the football game with. "A guy who likes sports!"  If you want that excuse to get outside, fish or just watch a football game--include Andy in with your plans.

David - age 10   A very polite young man who is athletic is looking for a friend to spend time with seeing "stuff" around his community. He loves to play all kinds of games and would like a friend to take him to high school basketball and football games.

Donny - age 8   Donny is looking for a buddy who would love to have him help cook dinner for them. He loves hockey and football games, 4 wheeling and going tubing. He never sees his dad and his mom doesn't have the means that allows him to experience a lot of these activities.

Gary - age 9 Fishing, bowling and biking are the top activities Gary would like to do with a mentor.  He lives with his mom and brother and is looking for a buddy who can help him experience more of his community.

Jimmy - age 11 Jimmy is looking for a buddy who loves archery, chess, football and strategic games.  He lives with his mom and brother (who is also looking for a mentor).  Jimmy is easy going and would like a buddy who can challenge him with activities.  He would also like to garden.

Kara - age 9 This young lady is looking for a friend who will share some one-on-one time with her.  She lives with her grandmother most of the time.  She is friendly with everyone and just wants someone to draw with her. She would also like to take day trips to fun outdoor activities like hiking and swimming.

Kenny - age 11 Kenny is the oldest of three brothers all looking for mentors.  He is a kind, thoughtful and quiet leader. He describes himself as an awesome, athletic, polite and well mannered kid.  He loves to talk to people about places he would love to go in the world and would love to find someone to take him snowmobiling and who is friendly.

Simon - age 12 Simon lives with his grandparents and would like a buddy to spend positive one-on-one time with him to help build his self-esteem.  He is very friendly and outgoing. Would love to do a variety of activities.

Charlie - age 14 Charlie is an outgoing, friendly young man who would like to find a buddy to fish and bowl with. He loves playing role playing games.  He is very easy going and "goes with the flow".  His dad does not live in the state and he needs some time with an adult other than his mom.

Steven - age 8 If you like to be outside, go biking, take things apart (and try to put them back together) Steven would be the perfect mentee for you.  He is very outgoing and inquisitive.  Loves school and is always looking for new experiences. Lives with mom and dad is deceased.

Karen - age 6 This young lady loves to draw and color.  She likes going outside, biking and going for walks, too.  She loves school and is looking for a family mentor or one-on-one mentor who would show her new experiences and activities in the community.
